This book is in my opinion very personal and should be interpreted the way the reader wants and feels is right for them. It takes you on a journey from the fragile innocence of adolescence until the contrasting years of maturity. However, this book is so much more than a story about change, it’s a journey for the readers challenging them to feel different emotions while always searching for hidden meanings. It allows you to resonate with every single word on the page and in places where you feel like you can’t find yourself, you are left with a longing desire to seek further. The whole read is a rollercoaster ride that can teach you many valuable lessons.
The moment you look at this book, the cover stands out. It is so unique and creative and such a good representation of the events in the book, it’s really hard to not notice it. Piece by piece, Alma is on a journey of finding herself. Domino by domino, her goals seem so close yet so far away.
